JOB OPPORTUNITY: Postdoctoral Fellow

The Bezsonova lab (UCONN Health, Farmington, Connecticut) seeks a highly
motivated recent PhD-level structural biologist interested in pursuing
NIH-funded postdoctoral fellowship at the Medical Center of University of
Connecticut. Our lab utilizes structure-based methods including advanced
solution NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography and cryo-Electron
Microscopy to characterize structure, conformational dynamics and
interactions of enzymes of ubiquitin-proteasome pathway relevant to human
diseases. A successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team
working on integrative structural biology and drug discovery applied to
exciting biological systems.systems.

Essential selection criteria
- PhD and strong background in either NMR spectroscopy or cryo-EM.
- Proven experience in academic laboratories in structure/function studies.
- Strong molecular biology skills, experience in protein expression,
purification.
- Proven experience with data collection, analysis and structure
determination.
- A proven record in preparation of high-quality research publications.
including a demonstrable ability to write first-author publications for
leading journals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable selection criteria:
- Experience in cryo-EM data collection and analysis.
- Experience in NMR data collection and analysis of protein dynamics data.
