Caros colegas,

O Prof. Lucio Frydman do Instituto Weissman me pediu ajuda para divulgar
posição disponível para post-doc no seu laboratório. Encaminho abaixo sua
mensagem:

Dear colleague

In connection to the fellowship opportunities for Brazilian postdocs
announced below, I would like to request your help in locating candidates
interested in pursuing a postdoctoral position in my group at the Weizmann
Institute. The candidate’s research would deal with a number of
multidisciplinary problems within the field of magnetic resonance. Of
particular interest to us is the development of new techniques, hardware
and applications involving advanced NMR and MRI, including the development
of rapid and of single-shot techniques for spectroscopy and imaging, and
the use of these techniques in combination with nuclear hyperpolarization
in *in vitro, *protein folding, preclinical (mostly developmental) and
human (mostly pancreatic and breast cancer) characterizations.

The Weizmann Institute is located in a small, affordable and friendly town
at the feet of the Judean hills, and is one of Israel's premier scientific
institutions. It is a research center whose official language is English,
and which offers numerous facilities to international visitors, including
furnished apartments for postdocs. From its inception the Institute has
shown an unequivocal commitment to all areas of magnetic resonance and over
the years it has made extensive investments in MR faculty, staff and in
infrastructure. As a result the Institute possesses an 800 MHz NMR with a
cryoprobe,* an additional 1 GHz machine equipped with three
cryoprobes;* several
600 MHz instruments with solids/liquids/imaging facilities; *a brand new 3
T whole-body Prisma MRI scanner, a new Terra human 7T scanner ; *1, 4.7, 7
and 9.4 T animal MRI scanners*, and a brand new cryoprobe-equipped 15.2T
animal MRI; *several 3.35 T DNP hyperpolarizers*, *a 400 MHz DNP MAS NMR
instrument, para-hydrogen NMR facilities, and numerous (dozens) of other
NMR instruments placed in various magnetic resonance buildings. *Close to
ten research groups involved in all areas of magnetic resonance use these
facilities and partake of shared research programs, lending a uniquely
vibrant atmosphere for professional development.*

Further information on our group’s activities can be found at
https://www.weizmann.ac.il/chemphys/Frydman_group/, and about the Weizmann
postdoctoral program at http://www.fgs.org.il/en/. Those interested in
being considered for these positions should send their Vitae and at least
two letters of reference to lucio.frydman at weizmann.ac.il.
With kind regards,

Prof. Lucio Frydman, The Bertha and Isadore Gudelsky Chair
Head, Department of Chemical and Biological Physics
