Com muito pesar, comunicamos o falecimento do nosso amigo Stefano
Caldarelli. O Stefano sempre foi muito presente no Brasil e sempre
contribuiu apoiando a RMN no Brasil.

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Prof. Stefano
CALDARELLI.

Stefano has been professor at the Chemistry Department of Aix-Marseille
University (France) since 2001. Originally trained as a solid-state NMR
expert, he has made several contributions not only in this particular field
(he was, for instance, one of the founding members of the prestigious
Chamonix Solid-state NMR Conferences), but also in the field sometimes
referred to as “NMR chromatography”. He was known by a lot of us for his
good humor and his enthusiasm, which made him a truly passionate person and
scientist.

He succumbed to a long and terrible illness. The funeral will take place on
November 8th at 2:30 pm at the Church of Spoleto (Italy), his hometown.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, his friends, and his
colleagues.
