Prezados
Estou muito triste com essa noticia.
Stefano era, além de excelente pesquisador e espectroscopista, uma pessoa
maravilhosa, alegre, sempre rindo, mais "brasileiro" do que muito de nós.
Ajudou muito a RMN no Brasil através de convenios, cursos e palestras mas
também à RMN no mundo organizando os  congressos de Solid-State NMR
maravilhosos sob todos os aspectos em Chamonix na França, além das várias
contribuições científicas.
Obrigada por tudo amigo.

Com muito pesar, comunicamos o falecimento do nosso amigo Stefano
Caldarelli. O Stefano sempre foi muito presente no Brasil e sempre
contribuiu apoiando a RMN no Brasil.

      Dear Colleagues,

      It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Prof.
      Stefano CALDARELLI.

      Stefano has been professor at the Chemistry Department of
      Aix-Marseille University (France) since 2001. Originally trained as a
      solid-state NMR expert, he has made several contributions not only in
      this particular field (he was, for instance, one of the founding
      members of the prestigious Chamonix Solid-state NMR Conferences), but
      also in the field sometimes referred to as “NMR chromatography”. He
      was known by a lot of us for his good humor and his enthusiasm, which
      made him a truly passionate person and scientist.

      He succumbed to a long and terrible illness. The funeral will take
      place on November 8th at 2:30 pm at the Church of Spoleto (Italy),
      his hometown.

      We extend our deepest condolences to his family, his friends, and his
      colleagues.
